Boost your computer speed with a Pen drive

You read as correct not any wrong now you can actually configure your humble USB drive to boost your computer’s performance. The empty space in your USB drive can be used as an additional memory cache to support the cache in your hard disk. Flash memory is a more modern form of memory and is much faster than old fashioned hard-disks so this can significantly boost system responsiveness.


Follow these steps to Boost up your system speed 


1. Go to Start -> computer

2. Right click the memory card or flash drive and click “properties

3. Go to the ‘Ready Boost’ tab on the upper menu.

4. Select the “use this device” option

5. Adjust the “space to reserve for system speed” slider to choose the amount of flash memory you want to use to boot your system speed

6. Click ‘OK

Ready Boost comes bundled with all windows 7 packages! Though there are some early windows vista machines that won’t have this option. Ready boost is also more effective with laptop hard-drives are usually clocked in at slower speeds which make the flash memory more effective
