Google search results can sometimes be very old it's frustrating to click a link and find that the page was written five years ago and isn't relevant any more.i realized i could get fresher results by clicking 'search tools','Any time' and choosing a date range such as 'past year',but i didn't want to go through this whole process every time i ran a search.
So i looked through the Google forums for a shortcut and found this clever URL type as follow ?tbs=qdr:y at the end of the google URL,then run your search The tab's part tells Google to search a custom range,and the 'qdr:y' part indicates the past year..
save the link on your bookmark bar for a quick 'past year' search.if you want to set it as default,
go to your Chrome settings and enter the amended Google link in the default search engine box..
