How to disable USB Ports in Windows 8

Disabling USB Ports is not Mandatory. Still you want to proceed follow the easiest procedure below.
  1. Press Windows + R (This will take to you “Run”)
  2. Type “regedit” and hit enter
  3. Now Navigate to the following

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\USBSTOR



Now in the right panel, select Start and change the value to 3. (The value 4 will disable USB Storage). Then Click OK. This will re-enable USB Ports and allow you to use USB or PenDrives.
